Usability: Screen Readers are not supported

The admin interface does not support screen readers, and in the cases it does, it does so by coincidence. If we want to support screen readers probably, we should identify tasks/guidelines that let us achieve good screen reader support in the whole application.

I would not go so far as to say that screen readers are not supported at all. Nor that it is a coincidence if it works.
Web accessibility is based on structured and semantically correct HTML, not on chance. A well-structured HTML document is generally more accessible because screen readers such as NVDA can recognise and interpret the semantic meaning of HTML elements.
Semantic HTML should be used first and foremost. Roles and ARIA attributes are required for special solutions.
The admin UI has a few weaknesses that should be identified, but it is far from all bad.
