Computer Science & IT student at the University of Galway. I build and operate software across backend services, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure and developer tooling.
Seeking a Jan–Aug 2027 software engineering / platform / SRE placement.
- OghmaNotes — deployed study workspace with Canvas imports, semantic search and RAG chat. Built around TypeScript, PostgreSQL/pgvector, Redis/BullMQ workers, Docker and Jenkins CI/CD.
- Irish Rail Nabber — real-time transport-data platform: a Python collector writes to TimescaleDB; a Rust API and live dashboard serve the resulting data.
- Canvas MCP — TypeScript Model Context Protocol server for Canvas LMS, with a documented tool surface, permission boundaries and mocked unit tests.
- Site Watchdog — Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects application for scheduled site checks, security-header auditing and real-time monitoring analytics.
I enjoy the work around a feature as much as the feature itself: clear system boundaries, useful data models, safe deployments, failure handling, observability and the debugging that follows a real system into production.
Alongside university, I am Treasurer of the University of Galway Computer Society and run a small self-hosted environment for learning about containers, networking, storage and operations.
